We have broken Natural Selection
So, i was walking home towards Kings Cross station, listening to a song by SOAD. I forget which song it was, but it lead me to think about why society is declining.
After much deliberation, walking into a pillar and almost missing my train i finally figured - it’s because we have broken the mechanism by which Natural Selection works. Why are the bad allowed to prosper, why are the good heavily burdened with matters which, in Nature, wouldn’t concern them. Why is my tax money going to help pay for a little oik down the road to go to rehab? Why is it MY business that other people fuck themselves up, then its up to me and millions of other people to fix this?
To answer these questions, we need to look at why people are screwing themselves up, doing all sorts of idiotic things.
It is because Natural Selection hasn’t been allowed to take place! In the wild, a lazy, disobedient (and quite commonly) stupid child wouldn’t be allowed to survive. Thanks’ to our “altruistic” nature we are paying, helping and allowing stupid, idiotic and unthinking masses to procreate and their children to do exactly the same, leech off the few who are forcibly giving to those who don’t deserve it. I object to having £500 worth of my income being sent towards the government who will use that money to pay for Filthy little teenagers in our Secondary schools to have free lunches because their good-for-nothing parents refuse to go out and work. [n.b This is not the case in some, so if you are not one of these, my apologies]. If we refuse to instill discipline into our schools, institutions and government agencies then we must do something about the genetic tendencies to do bad things, to be disobedient.
We must allow Natural Selection to take place, these people cannot be permitted to breed and corrupt our society any longer. You can only have access to heath care if you can prove yourself a valuable (or that you were / will be) member of society, that you have good intentions and that if you cant, you will be denied and left to fend for yourself. Like in the real world. If a teenager wants to do drugs, if he wants to get hideously drunk and damage himself or even if he wants to smoke cigarettes - he should be DENIED health care as he is not helping himself. Someone that wittingly damages their body and expects other people to pay for it is not a member of society, they are a leech and a drain of resources and should be terminated without question.
“The Dole” should be stopped, all benefits terminated unless they are under special circumstances. For example, if there is a single mother who is working full time, she should be entitled to income support. However, if there is a single mother who prefers not to work, she should be denied, as she is not making an effort. If you can’t support your children, the message is simple, don’t have them.
By operating a nanny state and ‘caring’ for everyone we are hindering natural selection, we are allowing the populace to inherit genes that otherwise would have been wiped out decades ago and becuase we decide to continue operating this way, the population is growing exponentially, countries are getting poorer and land is getting scarce and yet we STILL continue to allow this atrocity. It could be argued that these problems are environmental as opposed to genetic, this could be true, in that case we need to operate a harder, stronger and more efficient government. Remove all the useless jobs, stop paying people more than they need to and instill discipline and understanding. Provide them with knowledge and other necessary things. If they refuse to take this, they should be terminated as they care not, and will never be a valuable member of society. Either way, something should be done, and as far as i see it, both things are one and the same, if you are not a valuable member of society, you are not a member of society and you are henceforth cut off from all proceeds. Goodbye.
p.s Apologies for not writing recently, i have been far too busy at work. I will be posting more regularly from now on.

I do actually agree with you in the core point. I do think that the reason why planet earth is failing as of late is due to overpopulation, which is the result of an overly self-righteous society that selfishly tries to impose its own morality on everyone.
However, I also admit that you do sound like a Nazi propagandist in that little spiel.
You can’t for god sakes mix taxes in with this! If your going to complain like a wimpy little sissy write to the government or something and be a little more productive. Otherwise you are equal to the people you complain about for benefiting from your tax money rather than actually working on improving their own living conditions. If you are not prepared to change the world in whatever way suits your improved version of it, then who the hell are you to criticise others for the way it already works?

Needless am I to remind you of the centuries it has taken man kind to evolve to this state in which tyranny and selfishness is persecuted rather than embraced, though it is true that nowadays some people take it to extremes with this whole PC extravaganza.
My point is, yes, the world has problems, yes natural selection isn’t what it used to be, BUT we are much better off now than before. So quit whining about things you don’t plan on doing anything about. If you have a problem get up off your lazy ass rather than complain till your blue in the mouth about something that would cause a lot more trouble to change than to leave be.

Righty, firstly, as you may have noticed this site is ABOUT COMPLAINING. That’s the whole reason i set it up. Anyway, that’s besides the point -

- Nazi? No way, i’m not promoting any pure race ethics or manually taking action, i am saying if you make an effort you’re welcome, if not good bye. I can bloody well mix taxes in with this, the rise in people, the dependants on society and the little snots who are wayyyyyyyyy down there in the gene pool are soaking up my taxes.
- “Eqality” to a certain extend, the over enthusiasm we have for treating people equally has gone too far. Way too far. The reason i say this is we have limited resources, too many people and we cant sustain them all. Labour has overspent by 56 BILLION pounds, trying to keep this crap up. That’s alot of money, and the fundamental cause is because we have too many people, more importantly too many people NOT MAKING AN EFFORT. This is called leeching. I am not happy about it.
Regarding your pointa bout “Tyranny and Selfishness”, well… There has to be a balance after all. Humans, by nature are not altruistic, it takes alot of effort (and might i add unnatural) to be altruistic. “Evolution” isn’t a part of this, it’s more about our own warped perception of our own greatness. We need to get over ourselves. We are just another species living on this planet. Also, some form of selfishness is necessary. If you can admit to never being selfish then i will accept the point that the state should be completely altruistic too.
WE ARE NOT much better off than we used to be, let me show you some points:
a) We are over populated to the point where the largest nation is saying no more than one child per person
b) We are polluting the world faster than ever before (that includes the habitats that many animals live in)
c) We have single handedly wiped out more than 10 species
I don’t need to go on, but the point is we’re deluded to thinking we’re better than animals and therefore need to be altrustic, loving and nice to everyone. This is not the case. By getting over it and going back to how it should be would keep these problems at a minimum.
You make it sound like if i got up off my ‘lazy ass’ that i’d actually be able to achieve change, you’re wrong… very wrong. Parliament do not listen to the people, neitehr do politicans and they never will until the hippies stop being ‘activists’ and screwing up things for normal people.

I like calling myself a hippy, but I must admit I am only to an extent. Hippies characteristically do nothing. They sit around listing to hippy music, smoking pot and complaining about the unjust government of a warped society. I only fulfil the first requirement: listening to hippy music. So I reject the insult (if it can be called one) altogether.
The assumption that those sucking up your taxes are those at the bottom of the gene pool is unfair. There are far too many people that really are at the bottom of the gene pool -in terms of intellect- and yet are considered “valuable members of society”. This is because they were born into a family that was able to provide them with an easy life. A good school, a good job, a good spouse… They do not hurt anyone, but they certainly are people who would easily be sucking up your taxes had they not been born so lucky. And yet there are many people out there who are much more naturally gifted intellectually but simply have not had the opportunity to become working members of society. These are people that, given their intellect, manage to escape their poor living conditions by reverting to the employment of their natural gifts in perhaps illegal ways that ultimately damage society.
So being smarter doesn’t mean you are a valuable member of society. If anything, it makes you dangerous.

What do you mean? Do you mean living in anarchy? The main advantage of a single government over an entire country is the fact that it allows you to easily control “the little snots who are wayyyyyyyyy down there in the gene pool”, as you described them. If we completely excluded them from our society for the benefit of those with superior genes (who you seem to assume you’d be a part of) then how do you know they wouldn’t ultimately cause more unsupervised wreckage to the planet than we as an organism already do?
Furthermore, if you shun two idiots from society for being stupid, and then these two idiots produce a child prodigy, what then? Would you welcome the child back and leave it orphaned? Have you ever thought that if civilization divided itself between “talented” and “dim-witted” the dim-witted would eventually throw up in arms against the talented for equality?
The easiest thing to do is promote equality of opportunity, hoping that those who deserve to will rise up in society. A system that though attempted is simply very unsuccessful as of yet.
I agree with you 100% here Martin. The world is full of lazy social inbreds that don’t deserve a lot of the benefits they get but I’m also a believer of karma. If somebody does something stupid then something equally stupid will affect them and that’s all it boils down to. Don’t worry, natural selection will take it’s course, albeit slightly differently.
